We are excited that you are ready to hit the Trail with Troop GA-0222.
Trail Life offers programming to develop knowledge in our Woodlands Trail programming (K-5th grade), followed by understanding in our Navigators programming (6th-8th grades) and then wisdom in our Adventurers programming (9th-12th).
The Woodlands Trail is further divided into the Fox Patrol (K-1st), Hawk Patrol (2nd-3rd) and Mountain Lion Patrol (4th-5th).
This is all done in a Christ-centered, outdoor adventure setting.
Meetings
We meet every Tuesday night, 6:30-7:45pm at the Link at Compassion Christian Church Henderson Campus. We also have a Hit the Trail activity or camp out every 6-8 weeks and periodic outings and camping trips.
Cost
No dues are paid to the Troop, only the initial and annual registration fees of $30.70 directly to Trail Life USA. We are able to fund the costs of most of our programming through our annual fund-raiser with minimal expenses for camping trips and other outings. In addition Trailmen are highly encouraged to purchase a handbook ($20) and uniform shirt ($45) below. NO TRAILMAN will be excluded due to financial constraints. If this is a concern please talk with a leader or e-mail us.
Registration
You can register your son(s) here. An adult will need to register, then click on "Add a son".
In addition to registration, Trail Life Connect is where you can track your Trailman's advancement and achievements, view our calendar, and maintain your profile and membership. This video is very helpful for basic navigation of Trail Life Connect for parents.
Uniform
You will want to purchase the age-appropriate handbook and minimally the Trail Life uniform shirt in the Trail Life store. The Troop will provide your Trailman his shoulder boards and the Troop number patch.
Adult Leadership
We take your son’s and our sons' safety very seriously. As such all adult volunteers undergo a background check through Trail Life USA as well as a Child Protection and Youth Safety Training program. Additionally, there will never be less than two adults with a child or children. We call this our “two deep leadership” policy. This is part of our 1-2-3 safety plan: no 1 on 1; 2 or more adults with any child; 3 or more Trailmen together when there is no adult present.
